As seniors decide where they will be attending school next fall, there may be some turmoil deciding what school is for them. There are so many schools and so much to figure out before you commit to one. Luckily, the 2021 West Kentucky College Exposition is today from 5:30-7:30 in the Otis Dinning Gymnasium.

The College fair is a free come-and-go event for students grades 9-12 and their parents to visit with college admissions counselors providing materials and answering questions. Parents and students will sign in and visit the college’s booths. Forty-seven colleges from all over the country have been confirmed for the fair, including the University of Kentucky, Princeton University, University of Louisville, Union College, Western Kentucky University, and many others.

Attending the College Fair is a good way to raise your grade in English class as well. Some English Teachers at Tilghman will be giving bonus points to their students who attend the fair this year. You can find Mrs. Newsome in the guidance office and tell her that you went to the fair, and she will let your English teacher know.

If you haven’t decided on your perfect school yet, this college fair is an amazing opportunity for you to make plans for the future. There will be students from all over the region attending the fair, and you are highly encouraged to be one of them!

Tilghman is looking forward to hosting this event for another year, as they have been hosting the West Kentucky College Fair for more than 25 years. This college fair tradition has been helping students find their perfect school for decades and will continue to do just that for many more years to come.

If you have any questions pertaining to the college fair, you can contact Mrs. Newsome through teams or find her in the Guidance office.
