Ashlyn Story

Despite the chilly temperatures over the weekend, several dedicated PT students came out bundled in their coats and PJs to support our football team in their last home game against the Trigg County Wildcats. Tilghman came out on top with a final score of 55-22. This game was the first of the post season class 3A play-offs, and we will move on to play Union County on Friday, Nov. 12.

Senior Leyton Patterson helped to get PT on the board with the first touchdown in the first quarter. The second quarter was kicked off by a 56-yard touchdown by Darionte Ragsdale, made possible by a pass from Jack James. Through the remainder of the game, we saw two more touchdowns scored by LeBran McMullen, and two from senior Camdon Marshall, one of which was an 84-yard run. Kharentez Moore came in with his touchdown in the third quarter, furthering Tilghman’s lead to 48-14. Ragsdale scored his second touchdown for the night during the fourth quarter to take PT to a final score of 55.

Our pep club made the wise decision for the student section theme to be pajama party, which provided an easy way of bundling up in preparation for the cool temperatures of the night. With this being our last home football game of this season, this game was special to many of our seniors, so they gathered with their blankets and concession-stand hot chocolate to keep warm and enjoy their time watching this great game. Congratulations to our football team on their big win and advancement in the play-offs!
