College Football National Championship Game
January 7, 2022
On Monday, Jan. 10 the Alabama Crimson Tide will face off against the Georgia Bulldogs. This will be the second time the two faced off in three years and both of the teams play in the SEC. Also, the teams have already faced off in the SEC Championship and the Tide beat the Dogs by a score of 41-24, and Alabama was the underdog by seven points. So the upcoming game is going to be a must watch.
Alabama is coached by Nick Saben and has won six titles with Crimson Tide and looking to go back-to-back. Alabama has lost one game this year against Texas A&M and only lost by a field goal as time expired. After the loss the team has beat all other opponents they have faced and most games in a demanding fashion. Also, the last time Alabama lost a CFP playoff game was 1,090 days ago and plans to keep that streak alive. Leading the tide is Sophomore quarterback, Bryce Young who recently won the Heisman trophy award and was the college football player of the year.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the most impressive teams this year not losing any games in the regular season and their only lost came in the SEC National Championship against Alabama. The Georgia team is led by their dominant defense which only allowed 9.5 points per game which is one of the most impressive defenses of all time. The team is coached by Kirby Smart and was a coach under Nick Saben in the past. Smart is in his fifth season with the bulldogs and has a record of 65-15 and is a top coach in the SEC and in the nation, coaching Georgia all the way to the number one team in the nation for the majority of the season.
This is the second match up of the year between the two teams and is going to be high energy and high intensity game due to conference rivalry. Alabama is looking to their long list of national championships and Georgia is looking to win to complete one of the greatest seasons in Georgia history. The game will start at 7:00pm central time and will be a must watch game.
