This past Friday Tilghman held one of our first homecomings in the last few years. Our girls and boys basketball teams played against Marshall County, with homecoming court between games. Court members included Maci Robinson with Danny Preklas, JaByreonna Caldwell with Azmon Anderson, Jada Westbrook with Demond Thomas, Kendall Moore with Thomas Dondaldson, Anesia Griffith with Joseph Reeves, Dana Hernandez with Malcom Moss, Gabby Copeland with Brayden Stroud, Kiarri Jackson with Elijah Gaines, and lastly Serenity McCoy with Nathan Barnes.

After weeks of anticipation, Dana Hernandez and Joseph Reeves ultimately claimed their crowns. After the joyous crowning, the boys then followed up with a win against Marshall County.  

Immediately following the game was the long awaited homecoming dance. Despite COVID-19 preventing us from having dances in the past, amazing staff and students made this night happen. It was a night filled with fun with our homecoming king, Reeves, as DJ.

Homecoming queen Hernandez said, “Mrs. Shannon and the student council did such a good job with the Hollywood Premiere theme, everything looked amazing, and I enjoyed myself.”

The events of the evening were truly something to remember.
