Wordle Takes Over

Maddie VanderBoegh

Wordle is a daily word game that allows players six attempts to guess the mystery word. The game can be difficult to grasp at first, but simple once players get the hang of it. Since it is a game that consists of one play per day, your likelihood of playing the game grows stronger as you wait for each new daily challenge to be released.

The Wordle of the day can be found on a web browser by searching “Wordle-The New York Times.” The daily challenge of this game is only found online currently, not in the app store.

The rules of the game are simple. You are given six attempts to guess a five-letter mystery word. In your guesses, if the letter appears green then it is in the word and in the correct spot. If the letter appears yellow then it is in the word, but not in the correct place. If the letter appears black, then it does not appear in the word at all.

Versions of the game are all over the internet and the App store where you can play the game unlimited times. However, everyone gets a chance at the daily Wordle, so if you have yet to play, go on your web browser and give the daily Wordle a go.
