On Saturday, Aug. 20, Paducah Tilghman had a blowout 40-point win against Mccracken, with the final score being 54-14. McCracken county turned over the ball on downs, and it was Paducah Tilghman’s ball for the first time that night.

Six minutes into the first quarter quarterback Jack James (10) passed to Shemari Thomas (10) to go up 7-0 on their first offensive drive. The Mustangs fell short once again on their next drive, which then resulted in another Tilghman Tornado touchdown, making the score 14-0 just in the first quarter of the game.

Jack James ended the night throwing for 276 yards and having for touchdowns for the night. Running back Malachi Rider had two touchdowns on the night and 86 rushing yards.

“It was my first varsity football game and I wouldn’t want any other outcome,” said wide receiver Joshua Campbell (10).

The Tornado has won the “Rumble on the River” four years in a row against McCracken County.
