The Paducah Tilghman cheer team is hosting a cheer clinic on Sept. 17, 2022, at the Paducah Middle School gymnasium. This a fun experience for younger kids to come and learn about what Paducah Tilghman cheer is all about.

Anyone who is interested must pre-register by Sept. 1. The cost of the clinic is $20, which includes a T-shirt.

The clinic will last from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Snacks will be provided during the day as well. After the clinic, the participants will get to cheer with the PTHS cheerleaders at the football game on Sept. 30.

PTHS cheer coach Rita Crouch said, “We have 80 participants ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. During the clinic, the PT cheerleaders will be teaching the participants how to stretch and do basic jumps, several sidelines and an eight count.”

The clinic is a way to create a foundation for future cheerleaders and teach them the fundamentals of cheer.

PTHS cheerleader Maklairn Lambert said, “I feel this cheer clinic will be a great thing for the community to truly get to know Paducah Tilghman cheerleaders. I’m super excited for everyone to be there and to have the opportunity to teach others about what we represent.”
