Bidwell, Booker, Skinner Named Rotary Students

Paducah Tilghman seniors Kate Bidwell, Coy Booker and Nathaniel Skinner have been named PTHS Rotary Students of the month for September 2022. The Paducah Rotary Club selects students from area seniors who demonstrate strong leadership, academic excellence and service to the community.

Kate Bidwell is a 2021 alumna of Governor’s School for the Arts musical theatre program and a member of Youth LEAD Class 11. She is also president of the National Honor Society and a member of Student Council, Beta Club, Pep Club, Student Equity Advisory Council, Speech Team, Interact, PT Page Turners and Concert Choir at Tilghman. Outside of school, Kate volunteers as a teaching assistant for Market House Theatre, and she has taken dance classes at DanceMHT since 2016. Currently she is the choreographer for Paducah Middle’s upcoming production of “Shrek, Jr.”

Kate said she feels “honored and grateful” for being selected.

Her parents are Anne Bidwell and Jeff Bidwell.

Coy Booker is president of the Student Equity Advisory Council and a member of the African American Leadership Club. He is also a student representative for Youth Services Center Council and a Paxton Scholar. He is a member of the Tilghman Bell and Boys2Gentlemen at PTHS. Outside of school, Coy works as a host a Cheddar’s. After graduation he plans to attend a four-year university and major in psychology and criminology.

“I feel honored to have been chosen and I’m excited to start the work!” Coy said.

His mother is LaDonna Atkins.

Nathaniel Skinner is an alumnus of the Governor’s Scholars Program and is a member of Youth LEAD at PTHS. He is also a member of the PTHS soccer team, Interact Club, Academic Team, HOSA Club and Pep Club. Outside of school he is involved with the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club, and he volunteers at Community Kitchen and Family Kitchen as well as at his church. After graduation he plans to go to college and major in biomechanical engineering and then go to medical school for neurology.

Nathaniel said, “I feel honored to be selected.”

His parents are Rennie Church and William Skinner.
