“Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme…You better get me to school on time!”

Based on the hit movie, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock” follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?

With its sensational live kids’ rock band, School of Rock is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music. “School of Rock” features all of the original songs from the movie and new hits, “You’re in the Band,” “Stick it to the Man” and “Teacher’s Pet.” May the spirit of rock be with all who pledge allegiance to the band!

Market House Theatre, a local community theatre puts on the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber “School of Rock.” The amazing cast has rehearsed continuously and finally has the chance to perform. The cast includes seven Paducah Public School Students, four of whom attend Paducah Tilghman High School: CoryOn Brooks (10) as Billy, Jensen Knudsen (12) as Freddie, Ian Swenson (9), as Bob and Isaiah Barnett (9), as Snake.
