Spy Balloon Makes Its Way Across the Country, Including Paducah

Recently in the United States there was a Chinese “spy balloon” that was first spotted over Montana, and many believe it passed over Alaska. The spy balloon was sent by the Chinese government, who claimed that the balloon was sent around the world as a weather balloon. The Chinese government has not responded to any calls or emails from the White House, causing many officials to believe that the Chinese government’s claim of a weather balloon is false.

The balloon started in Montana and went across the whole continental United States, even over Paducah as it made its way across Kentucky. President Biden called for the balloon to be shot when it was first spotted but military personnel decided against this idea due to the fact of debris could injure civilians. This angered many people because they did not want their information stolen and felt like it was a threat to their own personal security, and by the government not intervening and acting many citizens called out Biden and the military. The military shot the balloon down over the coast of South Carolina and into the ocean on Feb. 4.

I personally believe that the balloon should have been shot down when we first had the chance for the sake of our own personal security and for the nation’s security as a whole. Multiple UFOs have been shot down in North America recently and have caused many Americans to question who is responsible for these and what is the point of them. Most believe that the objects aren’t actually weather balloons are trying to gain information about the United States.
