Ten Tilghman Students Accepted into Youth LEAD Program

Youth LEAD is a program for high school juniors sponsored by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, designed to prepare students for future community engagement and leadership roles within the Paducah Area. The program accepts students from Paducah Tilghman, McCracken County, St. Mary, and Community Christian Academy.

Participants in this program spend one day a month for six months learning about human needs and services, communication and career development, business and economy, law and government, and healthcare.

Being selected into this program is a very high honor, and Paducah Tilghman is proud to announce the following students as being accepted into Youth LEAD class #13: CoryOn Brooks, Erica Wurth, Jack James, Jayda Reed, Madelyn Duwe, Myrick Livingston, Russell Hancock, Ryan Bidwell, Terrance Robinson, and Whitson McNeill.

CoryOn Brooks, among other students, is very proud to be selected into this program. “I am both excited and proud to be accepted. I’m looking forward to all the friendships and connections I’ll create amongst the class and the community,” Brooks says. Erica Wurth is particularly excited to explore the career sectors that Paducah has to offer, particularly the medical field, which she plans to pursue post-graduation. In addition to exploring potential career fields, Whitson McNeil is excited to make connections throughout the program. “I’m excited to build friendships with students from around the community and network with Paducah career professionals,” McNeil says.
