The Everlasting Uggs

The Everlasting Uggs

I can remember receiving my first pair of Ugg boots for Christmas when I was in the first-grade. They were black on the outside with polka dot lining. I loved them so much I wore them for the next 5 years until they outgrew me. After that time, Uggs started to go out of style, but I think many girls’ love for them never did. Known for their comfort and warmth, Uggs have come back to reenter our hearts in the past 2 years.

The renewed Ugg craze started last year with the release of Ugg’s Tasman Slippers. Fur-lined and posted in all viral Pinterest outfits. They were spotted on both off-duty supermodels and TikTok stars. Their popularity soared to new heights, and the slippers could not be found anywhere, in store or online, for the three months around Christmas. Uggs were officially back, and here to stay. Whenever this happened, my first-grade heart soared, and I couldn’t have been more excited.

This year, more types of Uggs have entered the scene. Some of the styles include the famous Tasman Slippers, Ugg Mini Boots, and the Ugg Tazz Slippers. These new styles offer versatility and are very popular, but never sacrifice the comfort and warmth Uggs are known for. Uggs appeal to the teenage girls of today because like myself, they have been a part of our childhood and now they are back and appeal to the masses.
