Project Graduation Fundraiser 

Being a senior at Paducah Tilghman High School comes with its perks, some being better than others. Even though it seems like a long time away, graduation for the class of 2021 is right around the corner. There are many factors that go into preparing for the end of the school year and all the fun things the Tilghman seniors get to participate in.  

Project Graduation is one of the many perks that comes with being a senior. After the graduation ceremony, seniors are treated to an end–of–the–year party where they have many fun events such as bowling, a DJ, blowups and even prizes. There are a variety of prizes given away such as gift cards to popular stores or restaurants, college gear to popular colleges around this area, and even the least expected things such as a mini refrigerator for your dorm room.  

Since Project Graduation has all these fun events going on, the prices are high and require a good amount of money. In order to make Project Graduation happen, the PTO has to do fundraisers to raise money to buy all the fun and exciting things offered.  Fundraising is the main factor that helps make Project Graduation happen.  

The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is in charge of collecting money and planning Project Graduation. They host several fundraisers throughout the school year. One of those is selling masks and senior t-shirts. Unfortunately, the senior t-shirts order has already been placed and been distributed out to the 2021 class. However, the masks are still in full swing and are being sold for $10 a piece. The mask is a blue cloth with the letters “PT” in white. It comes in two different sizes: small/medium and large/ extra-large.  

With the spread of COVID-19, masks come in handy and are a requirement to enter most businesses in Kentucky and even around the world. To purchase a mask, contact senior Lilly Brown on Teams. She will be collecting money and any donations being made to Project Graduation. Once you order a mask, it will be personally delivered to you at school. Without your help, Project Graduation wouldn’t be a thing, so let’s make it happen!
