Just when we all thought our world couldn’t get any crazier, America’s favorite power couple, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, are said to have little to no contact with each other and in the works of a divorce.  As if the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians airing wasn’t heart wrenching enough for pop culture fans worldwide, rumors surrounding Kim and Kanye’s split started circulating early last month.  On Jan. 5, it was revealed that Kim and Kanye were coming to the realization that their relationship has finally run its course, despite their best efforts. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star has yet to file for divorce from estranged husband Kanye West, but, according to a source close to Kim, that doesn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg.  The insider exclusively tells E! News Kim and Kanye have “are completely done and no longer speaking.” 

A week after news broke of their impending split, a source told E! News that Kim is committing most of her time now to her four kids, North West, 7, Saint West, 5, Chicago West, 3, and Psalm West, 21 months, as well as her work life.    After almost 7 years of marriage, the split didn’t come as a surprise to most people.  Within the past year, Kanye has made some very bizarre and questionable decisions like oddly running for presidential office.  Although, his misleading and peculiar actions are due to his Bipolar Disorder which causes him to lash out and make unsane decisions often.  There were even rumors that Kanye is pursuing a romantic relationship with beauty guru, Jeffree Star, but those absurd rumors got shut down rather quickly.  Personally, I think that this split is for the better.  While I do think they make an amazing power couple, I believe that they are both at two different stages in life right now and need some time apart.  Kim has grown a lot in these past few years and will officially be a lawyer in the state of California once she passes her Bar exam soon.  Kanye is working hard on new music and trying to navigate his life with Bipolar Disorder.  Now that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is over for good, Kim has time to focus on her own goals and be more present in her children’s lives without cameras invading her family’s personal space every second of every day.  

While the divorce of hasn’t been confirmed by Kim and Kanye themselves yet, it’s safe to say it’s happening soon but they are just waiting to make it public.  E! News has already made several articles surrounding the split and that’s what made me realize that the divorce is for sure in the works.  Most would call Kris Jenner the queen of E! News considering of the popularity of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kris is truly what made E! News such a successful channel.  Nothing posted by E! regarding her family will be published until it’s run by her first, so there’s no doubt she saw the articles about her daughter and son-in-law’s split but is just waiting for them to speak on it.  While the reason Kim and Kanye haven’t made it public yet is unclear, the split is for the best and spending time to work on themselves and be more present in their children’s lives will surely benefit them both.
