The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when Ronald’s mother, Alicia Aiken, was running late to pick him up. The school reportedly instructed Ronald to walk home, despite the busy conditions on State Road 520.
“All these cars driving fast, if I made the wrong step, I would have got hit by one of them,” Ronald said, describing the dangerous trek.
Aiken expressed panic upon discovering her son was not immediately waiting for her at the school. She had informed the school she would pick him up for the week, but officials said no paperwork had been submitted.
