The Christmas season is the most wonderful time of the year. People celebrate this holiday in many ways, but a favorite way to celebrate by the people of West Kentucky is to go visit Patti’s 1880s settlement to see the “Festival of Lights”. If offers a family fun experience that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Patti’s Settlement was burnt down a few years ago, but now they are back and better than ever. The lights encompass a large area that you could almost call the “backyard” of Patti’s restaurant. It is large and takes about an hour to walk through all the lights. If you make reservations, you can even eat at the restaurant before you go see the lights. Without reservations, you won’t be able to get in the restaurant because of how busy it is.

I recommend a visit to the “Festival of Lights”. It is fun, and a good experience for families or friends. It is a good way to celebrate the season of Christmas and is a magnificent environment.
