Montgomery County, MD – A 15-year-old girl was killed and two women were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after a car lost control Wednesday morning in Montgomery County, police said. The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
Crash Details
The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 14 on Lockwood Drive near Brunt Mills Road, according to the Montgomery County Police Department. Preliminary reports indicate that a white Lexus GS350 lost control for reasons still under investigation, striking another vehicle and colliding with a utility pole.
“Our Collision Reconstruction Unit is on scene working to determine the cause of this tragic crash,” a police spokesperson said.
Victims and Injuries
Inside the Lexus, the 15-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old woman remains in critical condition at a local hospital, while a third woman sustained minor injuries and was also transported.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Lexus sustained minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was uninjured.
