Carroll County, MD – Carroll County authorities have recovered more than $11,000 in stolen Ulta Beauty merchandise following a coordinated investigation into a regional theft scheme, officials confirmed Friday. Two women have been charged in connection with the incident, which involved multiple stores across the area.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said deputies were alerted to a theft at Ulta Beauty, located at 6400 Ridge Road in Sykesville, at approximately 1:07 p.m. on the reported date. Officers were informed that several individuals had fled the store in a black Infiniti, prompting an immediate search.

A Sykesville officer later spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling southbound on Route 32 toward Howard County. Using temporary registration tags, deputies confirmed the vehicle was linked to the theft.

Investigation and Recovery

The CCSO Major Crimes Unit obtained information about a possible residence connected to the suspects in Howard County. With assistance from the Howard County Police Department, deputies executed a search warrant on the residence and vehicles associated with the suspects.

During the search, officers recovered approximately $11,000 worth of merchandise, including items stolen from the Sykesville Ulta and other retail locations across the region.

Authorities identified Dasjanae Teyona Timmons, 23, of Jessup, and Dahmira Monya Laboo, 23, of Severn, as the primary suspects in the theft.

Timmons was apprehended on December 17, 2025, and taken to Carroll County Central Booking. Laboo was taken into custody on January 7, 2026, after authorities located her in possession of what is believed to be Suboxone, a controlled dangerous substance. She was subsequently charged with three counts of misdemeanor possession in addition to the felony theft charges.
