Former one direction member, Liam Payne, passes away at the age of 31. On Wednesday, October 16th Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina. Shortly before Paynes death hotel staff requested police assistance, they said a hotel guest was “overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol” the staff member was afraid that the guest’s life was at risk. After Paynes death, authorities found drugs, alcohol, narcotics, along with many destroyed items in the room and a smashed tv screen.

It was said that Payne had been in Argentina for a few days visiting former bandmate Niall Horan. There were many videos and photos of him and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy singing and dancing at Horan’s concert not to long before his death. Noelia Veron, who saw Payne a few weeks before his death said, “He was fine. He talked to us, hugged us and even made jokes.” The autopsy report showed that Payne died from “polytrauma and internal and external bleeding.” Prosecutors believe he was alone when he fell and that he was going through some kind of breakdown as a result of substance abuse. Investigation is still going on to determine whether there was alcohol or drugs in Paynes system at the time of his death.

Paynes death has left fans and the music industry reeling, with tributes from celebrities and fans all over the world. He is survived by his son Bear. In a video from 2023 he was asked about Bear, he said, “He’s awesome, He’s growing up far too quickly. He’s far smarter than I think I’ll ever be. He’s a wonder.” Liam Payne was a kind and beautiful soul, and he will be deeply missed by so many people in this world.
